Apart from the direct omen to a widespread cultural manifestation, that is the nativity crib you will find in so many maltese households during the festive period, 'Presepju perpetwu' is a twofold metaphor relating to the 'staricase'.
Staircases are a metaphor to overcoming obstacles, means to get to the desired destination, a journey. Concurrently, the steps in this imaginary place are perpetually linked to each other, always leading you to the same spot. From my perspective, a metaphor to the rut we are stuck in when it comes to national growth in relation to transforming our built environment.
Let us with passion ignite the places of the past and present we love so much with a new energy. Malta is not like a 'presepju', fixed in time and place, it is ever-changing and transforming like so many other phenomena. But let us all make an effort to catapult it into an exciting future whilst also respecting our inherited landscape. One should not negate the other.
"Rift" is a collection of 3D-printed candle holders inspired by the sinuous formations of the Great Rift in space. The design captures the dynamic flow and intricate curves found in cosmic phenomena, mimicking the undulating structure of this vast celestial divide. Each piece combines organic, fluid shapes with modern 3D-printing techniques, creating a visually captivating play of light and shadow.

To ensure the longevity and safety of your new lampshade, please take note of the following:
Do not use high-power bulbs. This lampshade is made from 3D printed material which is recyclable, so it can be sensitive to high temperatures. Using high-power bulbs (such as incandescent or halogen bulbs) or putting the lamps in any extreme direct heat can potentially cause the lampshade to warp, deform, or even melt.
Recommended Bulbs:
LED bulbs (low heat emission)(7W)
Thank you for your attention to this important safety guideline.
